The story takes place in the fictional city of Evergreen, Nebraska, USA. The story revolves around 8 characters who navigate life, with one of them being destined to end the world in the near future. This story takes place sometime in the late 2010s for consistancy.
In this universe, there are 4 main races: Doyleys, Vampires, Kalamari, and Humans. These spawned based off what I thought evolution was going to be like when I was a kid.
Doyleys
Doyleys are considered the first humanoid race to exist and all life is derived from them. They typically have 2-5 eyes and 2 set of arms. Though rare, there have been accounts of Doyleys being born with 6 eyes and 3 sets of arms like their ancestors. The average height of a Doyley is around 6 ft tall (182 cm) with the max height being 7'8 (237 cm).
They also eat far more than the other races, eating double the amount of others. Doyleys are also known for consuming raw meat instead of blood like Vampires. It's more of a preferance as since a lot of Doyleys aren't fond of the taste of blood and would rather gain sustainance that way.
Due to their anatomical structure, having more than one child can be difficult. For a large amount of time, it was only possible for a Doyley to have one child. This is due to the fact that women tend to have vaginal teeth and men typically have 2 penises shark style. I think this section is obvious that these additions were made to make Doyleys completely separate from the other humanoid races.
Vampires
Vampires are humanoids who evolved separately through living underground and adapted to this change. Vampires, in appearance are close to humans though they're related to Doyleys since they both need to consume blood to survive. Vampires need it far more compared to Doyleys. Vampires tend to have fangs that keep growing so it's normal for one to get it trimmed.
Vampires are usually born allergic to the sun but its somewhat common to find those who aren't. Its a common misconception that Vampires can shrivel up and die from sun exposure but the most that will happen is a serious sunburn if there is not protection to the skin. Another misconception is that they are born via biting. Vampire birthmarks come in the form of 2 moles that are visible anywhere on the body and in most cases are found on the neck.
Due to the similarities between Vampires and Doyleys, they have formed a special type of friendship known as Life Friends. Vampires can live to be 300 years old while Doyleys can live to be 250.
Kalamaris
Kalamaris are humanoids that lived in and around large bodies of water and adapted to these changes. They are the shortest of the races, with the tallest they can grow being 4'9 (149cm). Kalamaris are known for their fish like appearance with moldable fins that acts as hair.
Unlike the other races, there isn't much physically that differentiate men from women. Some have larger ears than others, lack of freckles, and webbed hands are just a few physical traits a Kalamari can have.
Extras
Here's a compiled list of things that should be mentioned but there isn't anywhere good to explain them:
The Floral Disease is an airborn disease that can be contracted through inhaling pollen of a flower that has been infected. It's incredibly rare and can be removed via surgery.
There's housing that's meant to accomidate the needs of certain species.
Raymond
Raymond Magladonia is a Doyley and is the boyfriend of Alex. The scars on his face and left side of his body are from an acid attack that took pkace roughly 17 years before. Unlike Alex, he was born with 4 sets of arms, 4 eyes, and is over the average height of a Doyley.
Raymond is a bit reclusive and doesn't talk very much but he does enjoy the company of people. He also enjoys doing art and spends his freetime painting. Unlike the other characters, he is able to manipulate shadows but doesn't know the full potential of his abilites despite knowing he is a reincarnation of the goddess Timpani.

He has 8 piercings and 3 tattoos. He has 4 piercings in the left ear, 3 on the right ear and a nose ring. Though both tattoos are visible, the third one is under his left peck that says "e is eternal" (ecco2k ref teehee)
Raymond is a whopping 6'4 (193 cm).
His 2 favorite fruits are mangos and watermelon.
He is bisexual.
Though it isn't listed above, he speaks predominantly in AAVE.
Alex
Alex Webber is a Doyley. His name is often incorrectly stated to be Alexander...it's just Alex. His physical attributes differ greatly from Raymond since he mainly has recessive traits associated with Doyleys. He's 5'5(167.4 cm) which is below average height, he has 3 eyes with him being partially blind in his third, and only has 1 set of arms. The mark on his right eye is a birthmark thats been passed down in his family.
Alex is a bit timid and comes off as shy at times since he tends to avoid confrontation. Despite this, he speaks his mind, even though he finds it a bit difficult. Like the others, he primarily speaks in AAVE.

He is gay.
Due to his height, he can't reach half of the things in his and Raymond's shared apartment.
He is a chronic nail biter.
Despite his hair being long, that is not his natural hair texture. He stretches his hair and his true texture is between 4a-4b.
Camilla
Camilla Nguyen is a human and is the girlfriend of Pumpkin. Camilla enjoys making clothes, mostly for herself and hopes that it can be a main career for her in the future.
Camilla is very confident both in herself and her looks. No one can tell her otherwise. Aside from this, she is very extroverted and likes hosting events at her and Pumpkin's shared apartment. Because of her confidence, she sometimes won't admit when she is wrong.

She is 5'4 (163 cm) and wears heels the majority of the time she's out.
Camilla is pansexual.
Camilla likes watching Pumpkin play video games and often buys games just to see him play them.
Despite the majority of her wardrobe containing lighter shades of blue, her favority color is purple.
Camilla's favorite Vampiric snack is blood jelly since it doesn't taste like blood at all. She often confuses it for regular jelly.
Pumpkin
Jayce (Pumpkin) Kern is a vampire and is the best friend of Raymond. He is missing 3 teeth due to getting in a fight as a child and as a result, he speaks with a lisp. Pumpkin is known for having a brash personality but he is well meaning. Along with being Raymond's life friend, he's also dating Camilla.
Since he has an overgrown fang, it's harder for him to freely drink blood. Because of this, he mainly relies on blood bags. Like some of the characters listed here, he also speaks AAVE and has a slight southern accent. :3

Donna
Donna Stuarts-Hume is the older twin of Monique. Just like her sister, she is a human. It's clear based off her appearance that she tried her best to make it easier to identify her. Donna is known for being a bit hard-headed and can be incredibly blunt at times. Despite her appearance, she enjoys baking and likes cooking for her friends whenever possible.
Like many characters here, she speaks in AAVE.

She was born 2 minutes before Monique and likes to rub it in her face.
Despite being able to bake, she can't cook to save her life. Can't even be trusted to boil pasta.

Monique
Monique Stuarts-Hume is the younger twin of Donna. Just like her sister, she is a human. Monique typically wears long wigs and ponytails instead of her natural hair. She also does hair professionally but keeps her hair short for convenience.
She's very confident in herself and her abilities. She refuses to let people get her down regardless of what could be in her way. Like a lot of the characters here, she predominantly in AAVE.

Francis
Francis Olsen is a Black Kalamari and is the youngest out of everyone in the group. Evident in the picture of her, she loves Yamanba gyaru and often wears makeup of this style. She also enjiys wearing lolita fashion and combines the 2 subcultures.
She can be a bit immature at times but knows when to be serious. She likes to use this to her advantage to mess with people in a joking manner.

She is slightly above average height for a Kalamari being 4'10 (147 cm).
Like most Kalamaris, her hair can be molded. She likes to have it separated to give the appearance of curly hair.
Raymond and Pumpkin like to use her as a standing arm rest as a joke.

Lily
Lily Altoid is a human who is infected by the floral disease, giving her foliage throughout her body. Though not shown in the picture, she walks with a decorated cane. Lily is very outgoing and likes going out whenever she can.
She has an interest in older fashion but instead of paying too much for specific pieces, she pays Camilla to make them. Even though she likes being outside, she can't be out during high tempuratures since it can lead her to getting extremely sick.

She has a lot of frog memorabilia, including multiple pairs of frog shoes.
She doesn't eat meat much because meat makes the plants grow faster on her.
In the middle of me compiling everything, Lily got dedesigned. From now on, she's half black half white.

Timpani
Timpani is a deceased Doyley, who whose current incarnation is Raymond. Though she has been dead for close to 100 years, she still affects reality. Her body has not decomposed and is on display in a museum as a specticle. It's currently unknown when she was born or when she died but its speculated that she was murdered.
She typically isn't seen but rather felt. Currently, only Raymond is able to see and communicate with her. It should be noted that she isn't visable at all times and needs to be "summoned" for her to respond. Sometimes she manifests through Raymond but that's a rare occurance.
Before death, she was around 8 ft tall (243.8 cm).
